A person died in a house fire Tuesday in northwest suburban Bensenville.

About 8:23 a.m., authorities received calls of a fire in the 4N500 block of Church Road, according to the DuPage County sheriff’s office.

Crews arrived and began battling the blaze, the sheriff’s office said.

The DuPage County coroner’s office is withholding the identity of the person who died pending the notification of family members, the sheriff’s office said.

DuPage County sheriff’s are investigating.
