WASHINGTON–Sen. Dick Durbin D-Ill., heads to Las Vegas and Santa Fe, NM next week on a fundraising swing.

On Tuesday, Durbin’s funder is in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s homestate Nevada and Reid is listed on the honorary chair of the event where the price points range from $1,000 for an individual to $2,600 to be listed as a host.

On Monday evening, a Durbin buffet reception is at the Santa Fe home of Chicago attorney, former alderman and lobbyist William Singer and his wife, Joanne Cicchelli;  other hosts include Sen.Tom Udall D-NM, and his wife Jill;  former Sen. Jeff Bingaman D-NM, and his wife Anne and Chicago investor Steve Berkowitz and his wife Karen. The honorary host is Sen. Martin Heinrich D-NM. The price points are $500 for a ticket; $1,000 to be a “friend” and $2,600 to host.

Durbin faces state Sen. Jim Oberweis (R-Sugar Grove) who so far is running a low profile campaign and faces an uphill battle to beat Durbin, who is the Assistant Majority Leader, the number two spot in the Senate.
