Well, this didn’t take long. Just days after a video of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) getting up in the middle of his meal to avoid a confrontation on immigration, a tea party candidate from South Dakota is trying to take advantage of it.

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) was with Paul on Monday, and while King stuck around and told a hispanic woman that “you’re very good at English,” Paul got up and left. He later said he was headed to an interview.

Regardless of the reason, Gordon Howie, who is running in the state’s open U.S. Senate race, posted a video to point out how he won’t “run from our immigration crisis.”
