Carroll Cullerton, the son of Illinois Senate President John Cullerton, was charged with sexual battery over the weekend for allegedly fondling a woman at a Memphis nightclub, WMC Action News reports.

According to the Memphis news station, the 26-year-old was at Club 152 when Emily Moss says he Cullerton was dancing close to her.

“And I scooted away and said ‘Please don’t do that, I’m not comfortable with this, I don’t know you,’” Moss told WMC. “Five seconds later, he unzips my dress.”

The affidavit states Cullerton unzipped the victim’s dress, exposed her bra, and then ran his hands up the victim’s breasts.

“You can’t come up and unzip someone’s clothing, especially in your chest area,” noted Moss.

According to Moss, Cullerton told security and police about his family’s political ties.

“I guess he thought that was OK and he could get away with that, I’m not sure,” said Moss. “Especially when you tell people ‘stop, don’t do that,’ and they do it anyways.”

Cullerton posted $7,500 bond Friday night and is due in court on Monday.

“This is an incident unrelated to official state business,” said Rikeesha Phelon, a spokesperson for the Senate President.

She declined to give further comment.

It’s not the first time one of Cullerton’s children has been in legal trouble.

Garritt Cullerton pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI charge in Jan. 2011, and was charged with DUI in 2004 and 2008. He was not convicted in those two instances.
