DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

THURSDAY, APRIL 21, 2016

In the morning, the President will take a family photo with Gulf Cooperation Council leaders at Diriyah Palace. This photo will be pooled press.

Later in the morning, the President will meet with Gulf Cooperation Council leaders. The first session of the U.S.-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit will address the ongoing regional conflicts, with a focus on Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Libya. There will be a pool spray at the top of this Session One meeting.

In the afternoon, the President will attend Session Two and Three of the U.S.-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit. Session Two of the Summit will review and discuss way to strengthen efforts against ISIL and al-Qa’ida, and Session Three will focus on Iran and regional security. These meetings are closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will deliver a statement to the press. This statement will be pooled press.

Afterwards, the President will depart Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and travel to London, United Kingdom, where he will remain overnight.
