Boy, 17, shot in South Chicago

He was struck in the elbow, and his condition was stabilized at a hospital.

A teen boy was fatally shot Aug. 14, 2022, in the Golden Gate neighborhood. — A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting in the 8200 block of South Coles Avenue, Oct. 24, 2019, in South Chicago.

A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Thursday in South Chicago.

About 1:57 p.m., he was in the 8200 block of South Coles Avenue when he was shot in the elbow, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Trinity Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting are unknown at this time, police said. Area South detectives are investigating.
