A woman was wounded in a shooting Thursday in Old Town on the Near North Side.

The 25-year-old heard gunshots and realized she’d been hit in the foot at 10:57 p.m. in the 400 block of West Evergreen Avenue, according to Chicago police. She told investigators she didn’t see the shooter or know where the shots came from.

The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
