A 24-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday in Austin on the West Side.

About 3:35 p.m., Ivan M. Miller was standing outside a business in the 5900 block of West Division Street when a dark-colored SUV pulled up to him and someone inside fired shots, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Miller, who lived in Austin, was struck in the neck and shoulder and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Autopsy results released Monday found he died from his gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

Area North detectives are investigating.
