A man was shot to death Sunday in West Pullman on the Far South Side.

The 30-year-old was on the sidewalk with another person at 3:26 a.m. in the 12300 block of South Wallace Street when they heard gunshots, according to Chicago police.

The man was hit in the back and taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Pierre Johnson, of South Chicago.

No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
