A 17-year-old boy from East Chicago was shot to death Sunday evening in an alley in northwest Indiana.

Nicholas Pisani, 17, died of gunshot wounds at 7:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 150th Street in East Chicago, according to the Lake County coroner’s office.

Officers were called to the alley and found him with two gunshot wounds, East Chicago police Deputy Chief Jose Rivera said. He said the shooter fired three shots.

The teen was seen earlier in the area walking with another male, he said. Detectives are reviewing city surveillance cameras.
