Man shot to death in Gresham

Charles Evans, 21, was standing on the sidewalk about 2:15 a.m. in the 8600 block of South Vincennes Avenue when he was shot in the head, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man was killed in a shooting Sunday in Gresham on the South Side.

The 21-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 2:15 a.m. in the 8600 block of South Vincennes Avenue when he was shot in the head, Chicago police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Charles Evans.

No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
