A man was killed and another was critically wounded in a shooting Saturday in South Chicago.

The men were at a gathering at 2:04 a.m. on a porch in the 8500 block of South Burley Avenue when a male got out of a vehicle and shot at them, according to Chicago police.

A 33-year-old man was shot in the head and abdomen and died at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified him as Antione L. Rose of South Shore.

Autopsy results found Rose died from his gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.

The other man, 32, was hit in the abdomen and leg, police said. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.

No one is in custody as Area Two detectives investigate.
