Chicago native Jill Soloway, creator of the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video hit “Transparent,” is expanding her presence on the streaming service with a second series.

Amazon on Tuesday announced a full series order for “I Love Dick,” which debuted as a pilot posted on Amazon in August. Customer feedback prompted Amazon to order more episodes of that show as well as “Jean-Claude Van Johnson,” starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, and “The Tick,” based on a comic book.

“I Love Dick,” based on the novel of the same name by Chris Kraus, is about a married couple (Kathryn Hahn and Griffin Dunne) moving to Marfa, Texas, and making the acquaintance of an author named Dick (Kevin Bacon) whose presence changes their perspective on love and monogamy.

Soloway, a Lane Tech grad who honed her talents at Chicago’s Annoyance Theatre, is the show’s executive producer along with Andrea Sperling and Sarah Gubbins. For her work on “Transparent,” based on her own upbringing, she has won two consecutive Emmys for comedy series directing, the most recent last week.

The “I Love Dick” pilot, directed by Soloway, is available for free viewing at www.amazon.com/pilotseason.
