A big shout-out to our colleague, Sun-Times celebrity columninst Bill Zwecker, who will be honored among the “best in television” at the Chicago International Film Festival/Cinema Chicago Chicago International Television Awards on April 20.

The annual ceremony honors “some of the most respected, acclaimed personalities and entities working in television.”

In addition to his Sun-Times celebrity columns and movie reviews, Zwecker, who will receive the Chicago Award, is also a FOX Chicago entertainment reporter/critic. He is a two-time recipient of the Peter Lisagor Award and a three-time Emmy Award nominee.

Others honorees include actress/playwright, Golden Globe winner and Goodman Theatre artistic associate Regina Taylor (“I’ll Fly Away,” “Lean on Me”), who will receive the Career Achievement Award; and WLS-Channel 7 entertainment reporter Janet Davies, who will receive the Chicago Legend Award. HBO will receive the Commitment to Excellence in Television Productions Award.

The ceremony will take place at AMC River East 21.
