Two productions presented by Chicago Shakespeare in recent seasons are now slated to be seen Off Broadway this Fall.

As previously announced, the musical “Ride the Cyclone” (with Rachel Rockwell reprising her direction, but with a cast yet to be announced), will run Nov. 9 – Dec. 18 in an MCC Theater production at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

Now, also headed to New York is “Othello, The Remix,” written, directed and composed by GQ an JQ, the Chicago-bred Q Brothers. The acclaimed hip-hop take on Shakespeare’s tragedy, which debuted at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, had its U.S. premiere here in 2013, and has since toured widely, will begin performances Oct. 25 at the Westside Theatre, with John Leguizamo as a producer.
