Mostly thanks to the big bucks she made from the profits of “Gravity,” Sandra Bullock is number one on the new Forbes list of the highest paid actresses of the past year.
The Oscar winner reportedly earned $51 million between June, 2013 and June, 2014.
“The Hunger Games” star and fellow Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence came in at No. 2, supposedly having banked an estimated $34 million. Jennifer Aniston was third with $31million.
Forbes comes up with their numbers by estimating stars’ film salaries, endorsements and advertising work — and by culling information from agents, managers and lawyers.
This year’s No. 4 went to Gwyneth Paltrow, who made an estimated $19 million. With a reported $18 million, Angelina Jolie rounded out the top five.
While those women clearly don’t have to worry about their finances, it should be noted that just like in the world outside Hollywood, female salaries lag behind their male counterparts — by quite a bit.
By comparison, while the 10 best paid actresses made a total of $226 million their male actor counterparts took home a combined total of $419 million.
