Originally slated for the Royal George Theatre Cabaret beginning Nov.1, it was today announced that “Chick Flick, The Musical,” is being postponed until spring 2017.

Producers of the “female-positive” new musical provided no other details.

Originally set for an open run, the musical, written by Suzy Conn, and directed by Mary Catherine Burke, the show “delivers an evening of heartfelt female friendship and empowerment wrapped in the iconic conventions of chick flicks. With a cast of four and a live band, this original, 90-minute, no-intermission musical is the perfect girls’ night out,” according to the official release.

The announced cast included Landree Fleming, Marya Grandy, Sophie Grimm and Rebecca Prescott.
