SEEN ON THE SCENE: Broadcaster Katie Couric will be in town Thursday evening for a special screening at the Chicago Cultural Center of “Under the Gun,” a documentary about gun violence issues that Couric executive produced. The event will include Roseanna Ander of the University of Chicago’s Crime Lab moderating a panel discussion following the screening. The film also will air on EPIX at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 15. … Veteran actor Chazz Palminteri was spied hanging out at Tavern on Rush the other night. … Our Town was awash in famous (and soon-to-be-famous) football faces — thanks to the NFL Draft.
