Green Day has postponed Wednesday’s concert at the Aragon Ballroom and two other Midwest shows because of illness.

A statement from the pop-punk trio said the unspecified ailment is “affecting several members of the band and its crew.”

The band’s tour was to kick off Tuesday in St. Louis. That concert is postponed along with Chicago’s and a Saturday show in Detroit. New dates were not announced, and the band said they will be disclosed later at http://www.greenday.com.

A Toronto gig on Friday is canceled outright.

The club shows were meant to build the buzz for Green Day’s new album “Revolution Radio,” out Oct. 7.
