Just as his signature show “Hamilton” is rolling out in Chicago, Lin-Manuel Miranda will be live from New York.

The Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner is hosting the season’s second episode of “Saturday Night Live” on Oct. 8, NBC announced Wednesday.

It will be his “SNL” debut. A comedy geek among other things, Miranda has popping up on some of TV’s top humor outlets since “Hamilton” took off, performing a mock musical about Button Gwinnett with Stephen Colbert, indulging Amy Schumer as she tried out her own Betsy Ross hip-hopera and riding around in the Carpool Karaoke van with James Corden.

On Saturday he fulfilled a childhood fantasy by making a surprise appearance to sing “Yoda” with “Weird Al” Yankovic at Radio City Music Hall, and in November he’ll turn up in an episode of “Drunk History,” telling a tipsy story about (of course) Alexander Hamilton.

He’ll be joined on “SNL” by alternative music duo Twenty-One Pilots. The show’s season premiere this weekend features host Margot Robbie and musical guest The Weeknd.

The smash Broadway run of “Hamilton” is continuing, and performances by the Chicago company at The PrivateBank Theatre began Tuesday.
