Jamie Bell will topline “6 Days,” an upcoming film, based on true events that occurred in London 35 years ago. The movie, directed by Toa Fraser, will also star Abbie Cornish and Mark Strong.

According to Deadline.com, filming will begin this summer and bring to the big screen the events of April, 1980 when six armed gunmen took over the Iranian embassy in London and held more than two dozen people hostage for nearly a week.

After six days, soldiers from Britain’s Special Air Service prepared to raid the embassy. Former members of the service — who participated in the siege — are acting as consultants on the film.
