Two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner — like many celebrities — works hard to keep his personal life private. So, it’s not surprising the actor has only reluctantly confirmed he is married to actress and model Sonni Pacheco, the mother of the couple’s daugher, Ava, now 17-months-old.

At a Tuesday screening for his upcoming “Kill The Messenger” film in Washington, D.C., Renner, 43, showed wearing a wedding band — leading to the confirmation of his marital status to Capitol File magazine.

“I have tried to protect my family’s privacy, my wife’s privacy,” Renner told the magazine. “I don’t need her to get hammered with my life.”

While it is unclear when Renner and Pacheco secretly tied the knot, the actor has appeared wearing what appeared to be a wedding ring — on and off at various events since October of last year. However, not until Tuesday did he comment on or confirm that he was indeed married.
