Grammy Award-winner and new mom Janet Jackson announced a new North American tour late Monday night.

The four-month State of the World tour kicks off Sept. 7 in Lafayette, Louisiana, and includes an Oct. 26 stop at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont.

Tickets for the newly scheduled 56-city fall tour dates will go on sale on May 5 at livenation.com. Tickets held for previously postponed Unbreakable tour events that are now rescheduled will be honored at the new dates.

Jackson’s son, Eissa Al Mana, was born in January. In a video message announced the tour on Twitter, the 50-year-old pop superstar said the child is “so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving.”

She also confirmed reports that she and her third husband, Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana, have split.

“I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second,” Jackson said. “Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court. And the rest is in God’s hands.”
