Tennessee concert video wall goes up Monday at Michigan/Congress

Three Tennessee concerts streaming live on a giant outdoor screen in downtown Chicago will kick off Monday with a set by singer-songwriter Citizen Cope.

The Memphis native’s performance at that city’s Stax Museum of American Soul Music is to be streamed to a two-sided video wall at the southeast corner of Michigan Avenue and Congress Pkwy. at 5:30 p.m.

The wall is designed to allow for interaction with the Chicago audience.

The concert series, presented by the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development to promote the state’s music scene, continues with a double bill of Old Crow Medicine Show and Jason Isbell from Nashville at 5 p.m. Tuesday. An Ashley Monroe set from Knoxville follows at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
