A man was killed and another wounded in a Chicago Lawn neighborhood shooting Saturday afternoon on the Southwest Side.

About 2 p.m., the pair were sitting in a vehicle in the 3000 block of West 63rd Street when several gunmen walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

Dominice Hallom, 27, was shot in the head and torso, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:26 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 11300 block of South Forest.

The other, 26, was shot in the leg, arm, torso and buttocks. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The shooting was thought to be gang-related, police said.
