At least 15 people were wounded in shootings Tuesday across the city’s South and West sides.

Most recently, a man was grazed by a bullet about 11:10 p.m. in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side. The 23-year-old was sitting in a vehicle in the 7400 block of South Perry when someone fired shots through the rear windshield, according to Chicago Police. He suffered a graze wound to the face and refused medical attention.

Four people were shot about 10:10 p.m. in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side. Two men and two women were standing in front of a restaurant in the 6800 block of South Ashland when a group of people walked out of a vacant lot nearby and fired shots at them, police said. A 34-year-old woman shot in the right leg and a 24-year-old man shot in the left leg were both taken to Holy Cross Hospital. A 59-year-old woman who was shot in the left knee was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, while a 22-year-old man who was shot in the right arm was taken to Stroger Hospital. All of their conditions were stabilized. Police said both men are documented gang members.

About 30 minutes earlier, a 16-year-old boy was wounded in an Austin neighborhood shooting on the West Side. Officers responding about 9:40 p.m. to a call of a person shot in the 5400 block of West Jackson found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds to the left arm and groin, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. A police source said the teenager was not cooperating with investigators and additional information on the shooting was not available.

Two men were wounded in a shooting at 9:05 p.m. in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side. The men, ages 18 and 25, were standing on a corner in the 7800 block of South Maryland when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside shot at them, police said. The younger man was shot in the leg and taken to Christ Medical Center in good condition. The older man was shot in the left forearm and taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition.

Earlier Tuesday night, a 14-year-old boy was accidentally shot by his friend in the South Side Englewood neighborhood. The teen was walking shortly after 8 p.m. in the 600 block of West 61st Place when a friend he was with pulled out a gun to show him, police said. The gun then accidentally discharged and struck the teen in the lower right leg. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition.

Shortly before 8 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the abdomen while he was standing on a corner in the 4400 block of South Marshfield in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side, police said. He took himself to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

About 7:45 p.m., an 18-year-old man was standing outside in the 5700 block of South Bishop in Englewood when someone in a passing vehicle shot him in the right leg, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

A 16-year-old boy and 21-year-old man were both wounded in a shooting about 7:10 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Lawndale in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, police said. The boy was shot in the knee and the man was shot in the buttocks. Both were listed in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.

At 4:52 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the Bronzeville neighborhood South Side. He was riding on a bicycle in the 4200 block of South Champlain Avenue when a light-colored van drove by and someone inside began shooting, police said. He was shot twice in the left leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

Less than 10 minutes earlier, a man was shot in the South Side Park Manor neighborhood. The 19-year-old was walking on the street at 4:47 p.m. in the 200 block of East 70th Street when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. He was shot in the left arm and buttocks and taken to Christ Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.

Before that, Chicago went nearly 17 hours without a person shot, according to Chicago Sun-Times’ records. At 11:56 p.m. Monday, a 21-year-old man was shot in the hand and leg in the 2900 block of West Walnut in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
