A 15-year-old boy was shot in the North Austin neighborhood on the West Side Sunday morning.

About 11:35 a.m., he was in a vehicle parked in an alley in the 1400 block of North Laramie, according to Chicago Police. He got out of the vehicle when another gray vehicle pulled into the alley. Two men got out of that vehicle and one of them began shooting.

The teen was struck in one of his legs and got back inside his vehicle and drove away, police said. He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood where his condition was stabilized.
