A 16-year-old boy was shot Tuesday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Officers responding about 9:40 p.m. to a call of a person shot in the 5400 block of West Jackson found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds to the left arm and groin, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the teenager was not cooperating with investigators and additional information on the shooting was not available.
