A 16-year-old boy was shot Saturday night in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 9:30 p.m., the teenager was walking on the sidewalk in the 12700 block of South Sangamon when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot in the left calf, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
