A 17-year-old boy was critically wounded in a drive-by shooting Monday morning in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The teenager was in the 1300 block of South Kedzie about 8 a.m. when a vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the thigh and taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
