A 17-year-old boy was shot Friday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

He was standing on the street in the 100 block of North Parkside about 9 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside shot him in the back and elbow, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in good condition, police said.
