A 17-year-old boy was shot early Sunday in the Southwest Side Little Village neighborhood.

He was walking in the 2100 block of South Western at 5 a.m. when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit in the knee, according to Chicago Police.

His friend drove him to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
