A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday night in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 9:35 p.m., the teenager was sitting on a front porch in the 1000 block of West 103rd Place when someone in a dark-colored SUV opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The boy suffered gunshot wounds to the right buttocks and leg and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
