A 19-year-old man was shot in the right calf late Monday afternoon in Austin on the West Side.

The shooting happened just before 5 p.m. in the 5600 block of West Division, according to Chicago Police.

The man took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

A police source said he has documented gang ties. The circumstances of the shooting weren’t immediately known.
