A man apparently killed his wife Saturday while their two kids were home before taking his own life in their southwest suburban Homer Glen home.

About 10 a.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired at a home in the 16900 block of Meadow Crest Drive found 54-year-old Mary Siano and 56-year-old Steven Siano each unresponsive with a single gunshot wound, according to a statement from Will County sheriff’s office.

Their two older children were in the home at the time and heard them arguing before the shots were fired.

Based on information gathered from witnesses, the incident is believed to be a murder-suicide, the sheriff’s office said.
