2 hurt in Lawndale shooting

Two men were wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The men, ages 24 and 25, were shot about 2:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of South Homan, according to Chicago Police. The younger man suffered gunshot wounds to his legs and arms. The older man was shot in the head and face.

They were both taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

A 34-year-old man was found on the sidewalk in the 200 block of East 111th Street at about 10 p.m., police said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
