Two west suburban brothers were killed in a crash that left two other people injured Friday evening in West Chicago.

Officers responded shortly before 5 p.m. to the crash between a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado and another vehicle on Fabyan Parkway south of West Roosevelt Road, according to West Chicago police and the DuPage County coroner’s office.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 24-year-old Victor Martinez, was found in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene at 5:05 p.m., authorities said.

His brother, 20-year-old Enrique Martinez, was a passenger in the truck and taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, where he was pronounced dead at 5:51 p.m., the coroner’s office said.

The men were brothers and lived at the same address in West Chicago, according to the coroner’s office.

Two other people were injured and taken to a hospital, police said. Additional details were not released.

Police said weather conditions at the time played a role in the crash, but did not provide further information Monday afternoon as the investigation was ongoing. The West Chicago Police Department is being assisted by the DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team.
