3 men shot in North Austin

Three men were shot Saturday evening in the North Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened about 5:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Mayfield, according to Chicago Police. The three were outside when a vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots. 

A 23-year-old man was shot in his left side and took himself to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. An 18-year-old man was shot in his right arm and also went to Stroger, where his condition was stabilized. A 21-year-old man shot in his right leg was also taken Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where his condition stabilized.
