Two people were shot Friday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood.

A 20-year-old man and a teenage boy were standing near an SUV at 4:48 p.m. in the 5600 block of South Bishop when someone inside the SUV fired at them, according to Chicago Police.

The 17-year-old boy was shot in the arm and abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. The 20-year-old was shot in the arm and was taken to Stroger in good condition, police said.

The SUV took off until it crashed at 47th and LaSalle streets in the Fuller Park neighborhood, police said.

The people in the vehicle ran away, but a weapon was recovered, police said. No one was in custody.
