2 shot in Grand Crossing

Two men were wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

The men, ages 18 and 25, were standing on a corner at 9:05 p.m. in the 7800 block of South Maryland when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside shot at them, according to Chicago Police.

The younger man was shot in the leg and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, police said. The older man was shot in the left forearm and taken to Jackson Park Hospital in good condition.

A police source said the 25-year-old man is a documented gang member.
