A 24-year-old man was shot Tuesday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

About 8:45 p.m., the man was driving north in a car when he stopped at a traffic signal in the 1100 block of North Cicero Avenue, Chicago Police said. Another vehicle pulled up alongside his car and someone inside opened fire.

He was struck in his left thigh and drove himself to Norwegian American Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
