24-year-old man wounded in Austin shooting

A 24-year-old man was wounded in a shooting early Saturday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

He heard shots and felt pain while standing by his car about 2:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Leclaire Avenue, according to Chicago Police

He was shot in both legs about 2:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Leclaire Avenue, according to Chicago Police.

The man took himself to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.
