A 27-year-old man was shot Monday night in the South Deering neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The shooting happened at 8:34 p.m. in the 9800 block of South Hoxie, according to Chicago Police.

The man drove himself to Trinity Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
