A 28-year-old man was shot Sunday night in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

He was walking on the sidewalk at 9:04 p.m. in the 6200 block of South Francisco when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police. He had been shot in the left leg.

The man took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
