A 31-year-old man was shot in the Austin neighborhood Tuesday afternoon on the West Side.

Just before 1 p.m., he was standing on a corner in the 4900 block of West Hubbard when four people walked up to him and at least one of them opened fire, hitting him in the right hip, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
