Three people were shot and wounded Friday night on the Stevenson Expressway near the Dan Ryan Expressway interchange on the South Side.

It happened at 11:50 p.m. The injured were among five people in a southbound vehicle on the Stevenson, according to the Illinois State Police, which said it wasn’t clear where the shots came from.

One person was shot in the abdomen and leg, another in the hand and the third suffered a graze wound to the neck and were taken to Stroger Hospital for treatment, according to the police, who said the two other people suffered cuts from shattered glass, police said.
