A 40-year-old man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The shooting happened at 12:35 p.m. in the first block of East 102nd Place, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the back and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.
