A 40-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting Sunday night in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

He was walking on the sidewalk at 10:21 p.m. in the 2700 block of West 66th Street when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken with a gunshot wound to the right side of his body to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. He was in serious condition.
