A 51-year-old woman was shot Tuesday afternoon in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

She was walking into a home in the 6300 block of South Mozart at 12:22 p.m. when she heard shots fired, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the right leg and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition was stabilized.

Police said the woman was not the intended target of the shooting.
