61-year-old man with mental condition missing from Uptown

Police are looking for a 61-year-old man with a mental condition who has been missing since last month in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

Jesus Ortiz went missing September 14 from the 45000 block of North Sheridan Road, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police. He was last seen leaving his home wearing tan shorts, no shirt or shoes.

Ortiz is described as 6-foot, 165-pound Hispanic man with brown hair and eyes and a medium complexion, police said.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8266.
